It was a fun ‘exercise-in-the-dark’ for me.
We are lucky enough to see several of these plants on a regular basis on our walks and our gardens are full of Mexican Fleabane and Common Knapweed which is full of bees. Although the different thistles are sometimes tricky.
Yes, it was just about right. I just got my fleabanes and thistles mixed up. An easy mistake to make. How about some more bugs for next week Bugwoman? (I’m no expert in those either but it seems like a good topic). Or famous London landmarks? (I may do better at that given I lived there for 5 years, though no doubt the skyline has changed somewhat since I moved away in 1977!)
Very interesting. We have some mexican fleabane on our yard wall – I always thought those purple petals were just a variation on the common daisy!
