Dear Readers, I’m planning to do a more extensive post on frogs tomorrow, but for now, here’s what’s going on in the pond (which has never been so high by the way)….

There are dozens of frogs in the pond, but they all pop below the surface when I put in an appearance, and today I didn’t have enough time to wait for them to re-emerge. Here’s one chap though, floating around in the water crowfoot without a care in the world. There’s a fair bit of spawn already!

And in other news, the cyclamen that my friend MH gave me last year are doing very well.

Spring is definitely springing around here, how about where you live?
Spring has definitely arrived in Ealing. Daffodils and cherry trees are flowering and the hazel tree next door is covered in catkins.
It’s so lovely to see it, isn’t it. It’s felt like a long winter this time….
I’ve also got frogspawn 👏👏lots of snowdrops, crocuses,,hyacinths, also raining ☔️ woodpeckers been to fatballs, all happening
Yes! It’s all happening for sure! So glad that you’ve got frogspawn!
Cornish spring happens quite early in the year. Snowdrops and crocuses have been and gone. Primroses and catkins been around quite a while. Hellebores have been flowering for ages – a good thing as this lovely morning I spotted a butterfly (Tortoiseshell I think) sunning its wings and looking for food. It seemed to find what it wanted in the hellebores but it can’t be enjoying the chilly wind.
Yes, the wind has been decidedly Arctic around here too, which is a shame as the weather has otherwise been much drier than it was…
